KAMAGGFI MESSAGE ON CPCS

The message below came from KAMAGGFI Officer regarding CPCS which was sent to LBPEA Pres Allan Tecson and circulated to the NEB on August 7.

Txt Msg from KAMAGGFI Leadership--
My fellow officers: i think we need to fast tract our decision re:legal action on CPCS, we had exhausted na all admin remedies.. Sna magawan ntin ng action at mafile na agad sa court.."

Personally, I interpret this message as an expression of extreme disappointment towards the apathetic stance of the government by disregarding the call of Kapisanan ng mga Manggagawa sa GOCCs/GFIs(KAMAGGFI) for the approval of CPCS.

If and when the legal action of KAMAGGFI would prosper, it will take so much time for the legal process to take its course.  Our salary increase would remain in limbo, uncertain and hanging.

This is exactly the reason which prompted us to resuscitate the issue on CP IV and went back on the drawing board so to speak by making our plan and timeframe for the petition.

Sa tingin ko itong legal action is untimely for now for the following reasons:

1. As what Mam Sonia has stated above, by the time this legal action starts to grind our salary increase(s) would temporarily "freeze" waiting for the court decision (and appeals on both sides) regarding this petition. And we all know how long it would take for the court to render its decision.
2. Either this legal action or pursuing the CP IV will give us no favorable assurance in the end - meaning time and material resources will not grant us victory. Ang ibig ko'ng sabihin walang win-win solusyon na nakikita ko dito except we are at the mercy of the higher ups. Kung ibibigay nila ang mga hiling natin maraming salamat kung hindi kawawa at balik tayo sa "hintay status".

But on the second thought, kung gusto talaga nating madinig ng sambayanang pilipino and mga hinaing nating matagal ng panahon, why not resort to press. And I mean the "giant ones". Oo nga nakapag press na tayo but mahina lang. Kumbaga patikim lang. Why not make it this time "the real thing".

I know it needs a larger sum of money but so with the legal action. Dito hindi mada-drag and salary increase natin kasi walang nakabinbin na legal case.

Request natin si Mam Sonia na ipaabot sa LBPEA itong ating pinag-uusapan dito. Kung malaking halaga ang kailangan tingin ko kaya ng LBPEA, maraming pera ang LBPEA di nga lang natin malaman if magkano na.
