MEDICARD PA RIN BA TAYO NEXT YEAR?

WALA NA BANG IBANG HMO COMPANY?

The HMO selection process is ongoing so far we dont have HMO selected company yet. The HMO committee has not yet issued its official advisory in this regard. We will keep you informed should there be report from the committee.

bukas po ang deadline ng submission ng quotation. starting tommorow ay confidential muna ang mga info to avoid connivance by the providers. sa ngayon ay on-time naman po ang selection process. inform na lang po nmin ang lahat pag naglabas na ang committee ng advisory.

NAGTATANONG LANG PO DAHIL KUNG SA AKIN LANG OKEY NAMAN PO ANG SERVICES NG MEDICARD DITO SA AMIN... YON NGANG MAXICARE , SATISFIED NA KAMI PINALITAN PA NG MEDSERVE.

yung nga problema dyan eh.. every year palit ng palit.. so yung may mga EFM.. paiba iba ang rates na dapat bayaran nila..

sana gawing 2 years ang program at least medyo matagal tagal..

ang cover lang kasi ng medicard yung wala ka talagang babayaran maliban lang sa mga misc.. e up to semi private.. as per experience, complicated yung mga nakasabay ko sa room.. at sa takot na baka mahawa sa sakit ng roommates, nagpalipat ako ng room higher than semi private.. sana at kung pwede lang po sana, mag upgrade yung cover ng HMO to private rooms para macover up lahat ng hospital expenses ko.. on the other hand, i am thankful sa assistance extended by medicard personnels kasi tinatawgan ka talaga at iniinform ka to any updates... thank you lbpeans... try naman natin intellicare kasi parang sagot lahat walang excess na dapat bayaran pa...hmmp di pareho sa medicard grabe may excess pa na dapat bayaran tapos bawal pa yung plan 500 na makapagcheck up sa mga big hospitals tulad ng makati med medical city st lukes at iba pa....haay...ok rin naman maxicare.

Our HMO Committee composed of representatives from LBPEA, LIBI, middle and top management conducts the selection process through bidding wherein HMO providers are invited to submit their sealed bids. So whichever HMO provider bids the lowest gets the contract.

ang negative effect ng lowest bidding e hindi maganda minsan.. services are limited etc2.. hope we can look into this..

I suggest you write your comments about our present HMO provider- Medicard so we would be able to communicate such to the HMO Committee.

oo nga po maganda po na naman ang medicard. hindi po natin kailangan ng mura na contract ang need po natin ay itaas ang tab para po mas maka afford tayo ng mas magandang contract kahit magtaas ang medicard if ok naman ang service e, why not?

dito sa amin sa norte wala kaming problema with regards to hmo provider. ang nagiging problema lang ay bihibihira ang accredited doctors

hindi naman po ibig sabihin na lowest bidder eh sya na ang mapipili. there are other factors that we are considering. we submit the financial statements of the providers that qualified in the initial screening to FID for study.

Batman is LBPEA's representative to the HMO Committee. He is right there are other factors being considered before our HMO provider is selected like financial stability etc. Thereafter, a shortlisting is made on HMO providers who met the criteria set by the HMO Committee. Out of the qualified HMO providers, the one who offers the lowest premium with the best possible terms offered gets the contract.

So if you have comments on our HMO in your area, please feel free to post them here and specify your unit so we may be able to give feedback to the HMO committee or even to Medicard.

Maraming salamat po!

MEDICARD?...pinahirapan nila ako sa aking APE last August 2011. Accredited naman yung clinic and they accomodated me for my APE.. However, after that clinic's Medtech got my specimen, saka sabihin ng Medicard sa knila na hnd daw pwede ang APE ko dun at pinapapunta pa ako sa iba at malayong clinic. Medicard required me to send thru fax my letter request with justifications addressed to their medical officer. I immediately complied. Inabot ako ng maghapon doon sa clinic waiting for Medicard's approval. Nagutom nako dhil tuloy pa rin fasting. Nagpatulong nako sa LBPEA-NEB but unfortunately they (Medicard) still disapproved my request. HUMINGI PA SILA NUN KUNG HINDI RIN APPRUBAHAN!!! tsk.tsk.stk...Hindi natuloy ang APE ko. At Para hnd masayang yung specimen ko, the clinic told me na ibang series of tests na lang ang gagawin nila at charge pa rin sa Medicard..but I paid P700 for the tests not coverred by Medicard.

The reasons why hindi ako pumunta dun sa Clinic suggested by Medicard are:

1) Malayo - magtataxi ka pa papunta doon,

2) Results available for pick-up only after 3 days or more and for mailing matatanggap ko after 2 months or more - di tulad ng accredited clinic na pinuntahan ko, results available online within 24hrs so, if the Doctor suggests further examinations, maisagawa ko kaagad ito bago bumalik sa probinsya.

Sana hindi na maulit itong pahirap na ito sa susunod na mapiling HMO Provider.. sana hindi na Medicard.
