It has been two (2) years and six (6) months that this website was closed. Many were disappointed with the closure but we have to keep up with the fast changing technology - facebook and twitter, among others.

With the remaining one month and a half of my stint as Director for Visayas, I have been ruminative as to the manner of my “consummatum est” in LBPEA. Thus here I am re-opening the website pro hac vice for my grand exit.

This is the medium where you first knew me and this is where I want to personally reach out to you to express my deepest and heartfelt “THANK YOU” for all the years that you trusted me.

A SALUTE TO LBPEA REGL GOVERNOR ARNEL R. BUARON

On November 8 same day that Yolanda spread its fury in the Visayas, our former Regional Governor in Region VI Arnel Buaron passed away at 57.

Gov Arnel was a former Chief of Division of DAC and eventually transferred to Iloilo Lending Center when the DAC was collapsed. He was married to Grace and blessed with 2 children-Pinky, a resident doctor at St. Lukes Medical Center and Ryan who is working in Malaysia.

He was such an active Regional Governor being my alter ego I have high regard for his dedication to LBPEA. During his stint, his projects ranges from providing gym equipments in the Region to medical kits and giving fund for Christmas party per unit.

I had so much fond memories of Gov Arnel as he was the one who gave my name to Richie Sanqui of Hostad in 2008 when they were fielding officers for the COLABEP Party. In other words, he was the author of the new chapter in my book- the LBPEA. I had no idea what battle I was going into but Gov. Arnel was there constantly reassuring me that I am their best bet in the Visayas. True indeed, I did not fail Gov. Arnel because he was truly happy with what I contributed to LBPEA. Even during the last time I saw him about a week after he died, he was so happy to see me and addressed me as my Gabriela. I pretended to be strong and tough as he had known me to be thus I stopped myself from crying seeing him pale and really weak. But he himself was strong he was smiling despite the NGT attached to him. He showed no pain he was very calm. He said thank you to all the memories in LBPEA and to LANDBANK.

May the soul of Governor Arnel R. Buaron rest in God’s peace.

The 1st time I logged-in since typhoon Yolanda and I'm sad to know
that Arnel is gone. He was a friend back in our TOT days in 1991 at Sarabia Manor.
