It has been awhile that I was away that I needed to be apprised with changes in our policy especially on rice procurement.

As I understood, our procedure before was that the rice procurement process was made by respective Units. However I was just informed that this Sep-Oct allocation, our rice procurement was handled by MSI bankwide which caused the delay.

We will be having our NEB Meeting next week. I will take up this matter with the Board along with the issue on 14K Gold and the unresolved MIP3 issue. I will be informing you of any development.

The Management doesn't want to convert the rice allowance into cash, if you are in a satellite office , hindi nga i allowed nang management na duon mo kukunin ang allowance sa satellite office kasi gusto nila duon mo talaga kukunin sa mother unit mo na malayo or more than 200 kms away from your home....Now they want to convert the GOLD RING into Cash for the reasons that they didn't even bother to explain to the recipient......Consistent ba ito???

kung ako ang nag 15 yrs. hindi ko tatanggapin ang cash....isang besis lang akong mag 15 yrs....sana worth waiting....

3.2.1.6 Rice Subsidy
(EO No. 41, s. 2003 and EO No. 60, s. 2006)
All regular employees are entitled to rice subsidy equivalent to one (1) cavan of rice per month except those who are on leave without pay or suspended for the whole month.

Rice not claimed within the deadline set shall be forfeited. Unclaimed rice after the distribution period/inventory shall be donated to charitable institutions.


Tito Ruben: Ito po ang existing policy ng bank sa rice subsidy hindi po sya pwede ma convert sa cash. Ang ginagawa po ng mga taga head office especially mga auditors natin kasi palagi sila naka travel either to sell or pinapakuha sa mga relatives nila. There are others na pag hindi nakuha ang rice dino donate po ng LandBank sa charitable institutions.

Regarding the 14K Gold Ring, we will have to take up this matter with the management because there is no concrete answer yet as to what exactly they intend to do.

You are exactly right Tito Ruben since it is already in the guidelines it must be implemented as it is for fair and equal treatment of employees. The longer it would take to delay release of this benefit the higher the cost it would take for the bank because every year there are a lot of employees who turn 15. If the problem is on the cost of the ring what the management should have done is similar to what it did to the 20yr watch particularly matching the cost against the budget.

Sa tingin mo Ms Sonia, di ba pwede na instead na in kind mareceive yung rice allowance ay cash na lang? Although may guidelines yan na benefit, possible ba na i ma amend? Kasi kung pwede, baka may magagawa ang LBPEA.
