Our LBPEA Communication Officer/National Auditor Bong Dumasig gave update on the following matters during our telephone conversation:

1. Gold watch-token for 20yr service
For the second time, there was a failed bidding on procurement of the gold watches. Under the procurement law, in case of two failed biddings negotiated procurement shall be made.

Negotiated procurement is a method of procurement of goods and services, whereby the Bank directly negotiates a contract with a technically, legally, and financially capable supplier, contractor or consultant only in the following cases:

a. Where there has been failure of bidding for the second time.
Note: A canvass from at least three bonafide and reputable suppliers shall still be conducted to serve as basis of the negotiated purchase for approval by the BAC.

Other items enumerated are not applicable to us.

To all those who are expecting for the gold watches, our HRDD head is assuring us that the department incharge for the procurement is doing something to expedite procurement of the watches.

2. Release of 100% HF Dividend
The request of LBPEA for the release of 100% HF Dividend this December is considered approved in principle. But this will be formally deliberated by the PF Board tomorrow during its meeting.

3. HMO Selection Process
As of this time, there is no selected HMO provider yet since the selection process is still on going. The HMO Committee will be having another meeting tomorrow- November 11.

Uragon and black man:
LBPEA Sec Gen Weng Leonoes informed me immediately after the PF Board Meeting on Nov 11 that the deliberation on LBPEA's request for release of 100% HF was moved to Nov 28. Although in principle it was considered approved but the percentage of release is still being studied.

parang may ipapasa daw ata sa congress na patataasan ang allowable deduction sa fringe benefits..
