Aquino issues EO 19 extending suspension of perks of GOCCs and GFIs

MANILA, Philippines (PNA) — President Benigno Simeon Aquino III issued Executive Order No. 19, extending the suspension of perks and bonuses of executives of government-owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs) and government financial institutions (GFIs).

The EO, signed last December 30, 2010, suspends the perks until January 31, this year.

The latest EO was a follow up to the previous EO No. 7 that suspended until Dec. 31 last year the bonuses, perks, and allowances of GOCC and GFI executives.

In the EO, President Aquino said the Task Force on Corporate Compensation is still reviewing the grant of remunerations to the officials.

"The TFCC is in the process of conducting a review on all remuneration granted to the members of the board of directors/trustees, officers and rank and-file employees, as well as discretionary funds of GOCCs and GFIs," he said.

bad news, its another month of waiting..

BUT...it is clear in the EO#19 that only the perks and bonuses of the EXECUTIVES of GOCCs & GFIs are suspended...unless our BODs want us all to join them in their sufferings!!!! maawa naman kayo sa amin, mga BODs, at least kayo malalaki mga sweldo nyo, kumpara sa amin na wala man lang sa kalingkingan ng nakukuha nyo!!!! PLS SPARE US!!!!!

Ang profit sharing po natin ay institutionalized benefit, aside from that, we have sufficient factual and legal basis para i release yun sa members without further delay. Hindi naman tayo dapat affected ng EO# 19, the very reason why we have to assert our rights.We are entitled to it as a matter of right and law.Sana ipush sya strongly, kung pano tayo maghirap sa trabaho at sa laki na malasakit ng mga landbankers sa trabaho nila, at sa income ng bangko, we dont really deserve such dimunition of benefits.

sana maintindihan naman nila ang mga needs natin bugbug pa tayo sa trabaho hindi pa tayo nag claim ng overtime mondays to fridays gabi pa tayo kung umuwi para lang matapos yong trabaho tapos time para sa pamilya ninakaw pa natin para lang sa trabaho sana magaling naman silang magbalanse, di ba?

a. Basic Salaries, including Step Increments;

b. Standard Allowances and Benefits which are given to all employees across
agencies;

c. Specific-Purpose Allowances and Benefits which are given under specific conditions,
based on actual performance of work; and,

d. Incentives, which are rewards for loyalty to government service and for exceeding
performance targets.
