We were able to talk to Mam Jojie Cabreza last Oct 19 about the watch. She informed us that the bidding failed and a rebidding will be made. Our management is trying to do things in accordance with the Procurement Law so as to avoid COA exception. She in fact informed us that COA already sent them partial disallowance on the watch already granted but they are trying to do something about it.

We made follow up with Mam Jojie Cabreza last October 19 on this gold watch the 20-yr Loyalty Award. We were informed that another failed bidding happened but the management is doing something to address the procurement problem. We are optimistic that we will have favorable update on this by November 2011.

what if the management shall give the amount of 20,000 and what ever excess in the purchase of this gold watch be given by PFO thru soft loan. tama ba ung english ko? hehehe. ang ibig ko sabihin para d n nmn sitahin ng COA e sbihin n lng 20t ung relo pero ung sobra sa halaga e prang soft loan n lng ng mga bebeficiary. pwede kaya un?

jaycee, conscious ka sa english mo ha tama naman hahaha...we suggested such to the management however it was not considered because it would be in violation of existing guidelines.
Bigyan natin ng konting panahon ang ating management hanggang December lang pag wala pa mag alsa masa na ang mga nag 20 yrs hahaha joke lg jaycee.
Sa last na pag uusap namin nina Mam Jojie alam namin na they are doing something naman talaga konting panahon na lang siguro.

Additional query aside from gold/silver watch, is there any monetary incentive be given to those entitled (20-yr. service with LBP)? Those ahead of us are saying that they received PhP 7,500.00 + the watch. Is this true? Kung tama, bakit hindi pa namin nareceive yung cash?, Just correct me if I'm wrong. Nagtatanong lang. Thnx.

The Executive Order provided below would answer to the monetary incentive subject of your inquiry. There is indeed a cash award but if you have not receive it yet, it is best for you to inquire with Personnel Department or you may give your correct name, ID number with your unit for LBPEA HO to make inquiry.

5.3 Loyalty Award
(EO No. 022, s. 1992)

This award is granted to employees who have rendered continuous and satisfactory service to the government for at least ten (10) years.

Government service shall include those rendered in the Bank and in other government agencies, whether on permanent, temporary, casual or directly-hired contractual status on full time basis or a combination thereof.

The recipient shall be entitled to a cash award initially on his/her 10th year and succeeding awards shall be given every five (5) years thereafter.

The following shall be deducted in the computation of the required length of government service (but shall not be considered a gap in the government/Bank service):

5.3.1 Not more than three (3) months period between the separation and the re-employment in the government service.

5.3.2 Period(s) covered by leaves of absence without pay, including periods of absence without official leave (AWOL).

5.3.3 Period(s) of suspension imposed as a penalty in an administrative case.
